Sequin Girls' Party Dresses

Sequins are the small, shiny discs sewn onto a fabric; they give a dress a surface that sparkles as it catches the light. In the models on this page, sequins are used sometimes across the whole dress and sometimes only on the bodice. You only need to tell us on WhatsApp which of the gold, rose gold and blush shades you have in mind.

All designs on the site are sold online: the price is shown on the product card and product page, and you can order on the Turkish product page by entering the age and measurements. For a design not on the site or a custom design, we send you a personalised quote via WhatsApp.

Close-up of the shimmering texture of sequinned fabric in champagne gold tones

Sequinned fabric is made by sewing these discs onto a base fabric in rows. The size, density and finish of the sequins (shiny, matte or pearlescent) determine how much the dress will sparkle: small, closely set sequins give a fine, even shimmer, while large sequins reflect the light in bigger flashes and create a bolder look. When the sequins are spaced further apart, the base fabric shows through as well and the sparkle becomes softer.

In children's party dresses, sequins are often used on the bodice or on the top layer of the dress. Covering the inside of the sequinned surface with lining stops the sequin stitching, and the sequin edges along the seams, from rubbing against the skin. On sleeveless models the inner arm can touch the sequins on the outside, so keeping the armhole and neckline finishes soft matters for comfort throughout the day. We go over these details together before sewing.

Sequinned dresses suit evening occasions, henna nights, engagements and weddings, and because they reflect the light, they also stand out clearly in photographs. Sequins are sensitive to heat: the sequinned area should not be pressed with an iron. For creases, it is enough to steam the dress from the reverse side while it is on the hanger, from a distance, without letting the iron touch the fabric. Storing the dress on a hanger, inside a cloth cover and without rubbing against other garments, reduces the chance of sequins catching and falling off.

FAQ

Will a sequinned party dress irritate a child's skin?

When the inside of the sequinned section is covered with lining, the sequin stitching does not touch the skin. Even so, on sleeveless models the inner arm can rub against the sequins on the outside, and some children feel this texture. If your child is sensitive, let us know on WhatsApp and we will talk through the neckline and sleeve finishes accordingly.

How long does it take to prepare a sequinned dress?

Because every dress is sewn to the child's measurements, preparation time varies within a range of 7-14 days. We ship anywhere in Turkey; for WhatsApp orders, if you are in İstanbul you can also collect the dress in person from our atelier in Pendik.
