Party Dresses for Girls Aged 5-6

Five and six is the age when most children have their first day on stage and their first big family celebration. Every style in the collection can be made in this size; what really decides the choice is how the child carries herself in the dress. Tell us the style you have in mind and we will work out together which cut will suit her.

Children this age want to manage getting dressed and undressed on their own. A back fastening the child can reach, a zip that does not press on the neck and a tie that will not come undone easily are small details that make the day smoother. If you tell us who will be helping her into the dress, we plan the fastening accordingly.

The number of layers and the weight of the fabric also start to matter. At a long ceremony a heavy skirt tires a child out, while a very thin fabric leaves her cold in winter. Satin and taffeta give a fuller line, tulle and organza stay light, and velvet suits colder days; once you tell us the season of the celebration we choose the fabric together.

For this size you might look at styles such as the Salmon Pearl Collar Tulle Gown with Bow and the Powder Pink Satin 3D Flower Gown with Bow. Preparation takes between seven and fourteen days, so writing while there is still time before the celebration makes things easier. We also talk about how the dress reaches you: we can send it by courier, or you can collect it from the atelier in Pendik.

FAQ

Can my child put the dress on and take it off by herself?

Children this age like to take charge of dressing themselves, and the placement of the back fastening and the length of the zip make that easier. On styles with ties, the knot needs to be tied so it will not work loose during the day. Write to us on WhatsApp about who will be helping her into the dress and we plan the fastening around that.

I am torn between two styles, how do I decide?

Just tell us where the celebration is and in which season, and which colours your child prefers. We go through the styles with you and explain the differences in fabric and cut, and you make the decision without rushing.
